TAYLOR COUNTY BLACK HISTORY MONTH MARKER TOUR

Saturday, February 4, 2023, 9:00am-Noon

Reception at 1:00pm, TCHC Archives Building, 317 Pecan Street, Abilene, TX 79602

On the day of the event each of the following Texas State Historical Markers had a "Marker Host" from 9:00am-Noon. The hosts greeted visitors, answered questions and STAMP printout of the markers. At 1:00pm the participants and the public were invited to a reception at the Taylor County Historical Commision (TCHC) Archives building located at 317 Pecan Street, Abilene, TX 79602.

BLACK HISTORY TOUR PASSPORT

CLICK HERE to download a PRINTABLE MARKER TOUR PASSPORT page to allow participants to have their passport STAMPED at the markers they visit on the their tour. Those stamped passports can be brought to the 1:00pm  reception to be eligible for prizes. Participants who visit all 7 markers will be eligible for special prizes, but not all locations must be visited to be eligible for some prizes.
